All manuscripts submitted for publication in our Panorama Scientific Press journals undergo a rigorous and comprehensive peer-review process by experts. This applies to research articles, review articles, spontaneous submissions, and invited papers alike. Upon receipt, the Managing Editor of the journal conducts an initial assessment of the manuscript's suitability. Subsequently, the Editorial Office coordinates the peer-review process, engaging independent experts to provide at least two review reports per manuscript. Authors are requested to make appropriate revisions, which may include a second round of peer-review if necessary, before a final decision is reached. The ultimate decision rests with the academic editor, typically the Editor-in-Chief of the journal or the Guest Editor of a Special Issue. Once accepted, articles undergo copy-editing and English language editing.

Editorial Decision and Revision Process

Every article, review, and communication published in Panorama Scientific Press journals is subject to the peer-review process and receives a minimum of two review reports. The in-house editor collaborates with the external academic editor at each stage of the process and communicates the decisions to the authors as follows:

  1. Accept in Present Form:
The manuscript is accepted without requiring any further modifications.

  2. Accept after Minor Revisions:
The manuscript is conditionally accepted pending revisions based on the reviewers' comments. Authors are allotted five days to complete minor revisions.

  3. Reconsider after Major Revisions:
The manuscript's acceptance is contingent upon the revisions made. Authors must provide a point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments or a rebuttal if certain comments cannot be addressed. Typically, only one round of major revisions is permitted. Authors are required to resubmit the revised manuscript within ten days, and the revised version will be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation.

  4. Reject and Encourage Resubmission:
If additional experiments are necessary to substantiate the conclusions, the manuscript will be rejected. However, the authors are encouraged to resubmit the paper once the additional experiments have been conducted.

  5. Reject:
The manuscript is rejected due to significant flaws, lack of original contribution, and no opportunity for resubmission to the journal is offered.
